Ron Logan - Keyboards, Guitars, and Vocals

Ron Logan was the seasoned veteran in Della Street. Commanding a wide variety of instrumental talents (guitar, bass and keyboards) and a 4 ½ octave vocal range. Ron’s career began in Germany in the mid sixties. During these early years his bands opened for such acts as the Rascals, Vanilla Fudge and Albert King.

In 1971 he went on the road with Congress, an extremely successful show band circuit act. During this stint he backed up acts including Bo Diddly, the Coasters, and the Drifters. In 1977 Ron formed Windfall, which performed all over the Southwest. Ron recorded an album with this group as well. Windfall opened for dozens of national acts including Huey Lewis and the News, Billy Squire, Todd Rundgren’s Utopia, Guess Who, Rare Earth, and Humble Pie.

In 1985 Ron left Windfall and moved up to Albuquerque from El Paso to join Sassy Jones, an extremely popular Albuquerque based bar band. Aided in no small way by Ron’s impressive vocal and instrumental talents. Sassy Jones was a finalist in the 1984 Miller Rock to Riches national talent competition. Ron also appeared on Sassy Jones’ second album.

After joining Della Street, Ron’s organizational skills and arranging talents helped the band develop it’s unique sound and look. His other talents include being a great truck driver and a world class equipment handler. But seriously, Ron was invaluable to the band. Not just because of his vocal abilities, or how he was able to play keyboards or guitar as needed. But he also did all the bookings and handled the money for most of the life of the band.

After Della Street, Ron moved to Dallas Texas with his girlfriend Ann and started working as a "Dueling Pianist" at Alley Cats in Dallas Alley. He continued doing that in Fort Worth and Oklahoma City. He also produced some local CDs in his home studio he likes to call "Shabby Road". He will also do live sound and "sit-in" gigs with other artists. He and Ann are still happily living in Dallas.
